i was riding home yesterday (friday 3/6/09), and the roaring southerly definately made it a cold blustery ride.
Crossing the captain cook bridge at about 415, i copped a blast of wind from the side, and literally got pushed into the right hand lane! The poor tradie who was slightly behind me in the right hand lane screeched to a halt to avoid me. Thankfully he avoided hitting me. Same cant be said for the little pantech following him. Both ute and truck suffered minor damage. GTR unscathed. We swapped details etc and have decided to let the insurance companies sort it out.
Im not too sure where i stand here, as being literally blown sideways may or may not be construed as my fault? I guess at the end of the day i MAY have an excess to pay, but it will be interesting to see how it goes. The lovely lass at InsureMyRide seemed to think if the incident was reasonably deemed to be not my fault, then it just becomes an issue between the two other drivers.
One waits to see....
Regards
Dan
