I also hope to have Feb Nambucca Heads online in the next couple weeks. Will be 7th Feb 2009 as an overnighter as per usual.

Now that the GTR-AUS Busso ride is over I will be tidying this up and getting it sorted.

Glad you will be in Russell, like speed anyone can twist a throttle and go fast.
Anyone can layout a route and ride a plan, but can that same person look at hundreds of options and pick the best. Will be interesting. |

Hmmm is there an option where one could cruise past Brissie, collect other bike and thus complete ride on two machines?
No immediate answer required :-) ( I would like to get those smilies working though)

Russell,
Smilies only work for me in "add reply" not in "quick reply". Hope this helps

I have no problems with two bikes being used, at this point its about rider skill putting together a winning route.

as opposed to a rider winning a route ;)

Wouldn't riding two motorcycles make it a quad bike and therefore ineligible? Saw that once in the circus. Very clever.
Still not convinced about the games Davo, but I'll have a close look at them when they get posted. Maybe you can convince me to participate in them. Looking forward to Nambucca. Busted a headlight last weekend and also broke a driving light bracket (warranty). Put a delay into my SS2000/24 plans while I wait for a new headlight lens. Such is life (as they say). I'll get there eventually. |

A FarRide styled on a US Rally with bonus collecting was always on the cards. I hope you do, but it's just an option.
If I were to choose the IBA ride that I enjoy the best it's the SS2000K, it's big enough to be challenging yet not too far to make a minor mistake or delay mess up your whole ride. 1800-2000k days are my perfect range. With my tendency for midnight starts it gets me in bed by 10pm at the very latest. Latish night but not overly, if it's part of a multi day ride you can still get a good sleep and be on your way my 5-5:30am the next day. |
