 I now have a new casual who says he wants to work week-ends (nice
change) & it looks like he'll actually work out, sooooo I'm a goer for the Far Cairn Rally, at least at this stage anyway.......  and a big congrats to Shane for finally getting his IBA number.

It's 1,083km each direction and I'm toying with the idea of making an attempt on the SS2000 - straight roads mostly, and well known to me as I used to
live in Leeton near Griffith and once did Adelaide Leeton and return 11 times in one month

Excellent....I'll actually be heading out your way Boot....Leaving about midnight on Thursday, heading across to Woomera, then back across to end a SS2000
at Broken Hill, head to Tottenham the next morning to finish a BB2500K and then debating whether to ride home fairly soon as the BMW Icicle Run (Day time
re-run) is on the next morning in Melbourne....
Might see you on the road out there :)
