Please read the information in FULL before committing to this ride. I encourage riders to make this an overnighter if they can for the rally. There is a Entry Fee of $25.00 all info is on the site. Saturday 13th September 2008 Tottenham NSW Far Cairn Rally LINK UPDATE: FOOD !! I have just spoken to Rick at the Tottenham Hotel and reserved the dining room for us. I am faxing the riders list and they will be expecting us for lunch. So it's become a "normal" FarRide with us gathering for lunch and a chat, which is great. After those that are riding on will and those like myself staying will carry onto the Rally site. Tottenham racecourse is about 1km from town. Tottenham is 625ks from Pt Stephens (me) it is also almost exactly the same from Sydneyand Canberra. The ride there is ALL tar, unless you want to go looking for some dirt. The Far Cairn is 41k from Tottenham, about half of that is dirt road, good, flat, wide, long, straight, dirt road. No butcher in Tottenham, meat at Dubbo. No Premium Unleaded Petrol at Tottenham, PULP is available at Narromine, fill up on the way in. Unleaded is available at Tottenham but we need to arrange for the servo to be open Sunday morning (NOTE). Tottenham Hotel for booze, etc, in Tottenham. Rabbit Trap Hotel for booze, etc, and always worth a stop, in Albert, 21kms before Tottenham. Tottenham has one policeman, Paul. Tottenham has a hospital. Posts: 94 (19-Jun-08 6:18 PM) Still Here Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I in Davo but you already new that, not as a far rider though just your average garden variety GTR member, will camp, will come up from forbes, will wander into the race corse when the sun is at its highest point or at least before it disapears all to geather, will try to convince the brother inlaw that its a very civelised thing to do and he should ride his very nice 99 model GTR he picked up a couple of weeks ago, fist one there has to pick the high ground with the best view in case the BM types stamped

So the plan is to ride to Glen Innes on Friday evening. Then leave there early enough to get to Tottenham by lunchtime, catch up with FarRiders, attend the rally only for a little while then return to Coonabarabran to complete our 1000km for the day. Sunday is return home in time to get some rest for starting work on Monday. Home to Glen Innes 370km Glen Innes to Coonabarabran 1003km Coonabarabran to home 742km Sadly this will preclude an overnight on Saturday, but that cannot be helped. Some hate to miss any it seems. I thought that this one being lower into NSW and west a bit might encourage more VIC and SA riders. Be interesting to see if it does as it gets closer. Remember that if you don't want to do the ride as a FarRide I would still love to see some turn up for the Rally as the $25 is to a great cause.
