Cant help with the mirrors - a set sold on ebay recently for about $40, and I haven't seen any at wreckers in SA
There is an aftermarket lift handle available from the USA though - see link http://www.1tail.com/sa/cart/detail.asp?pg=%7BF41B52F9-4175-4E9C-8054-E32EFA2879FF%7D According to the site:

here's more;
From "Bob" http://www.concours.org/centerstand.html
I am 5'10", about 180, and 60 yrs old. Not strong at all. But, I use the side steppin almost ballet technique. Yep! Start by leaving the regular kickstand down. (It might come in handy if you drop the bike that way.)
Then, move the bike forward about 2 feet, reverse the action backwards (nice huh). While going back, instigate the sidesteppin/ballet technique. As the Connie is moving back, take a right step back, take a left foot step back after that, (almost stepping past your right foot) gaining speed, and then slam down the kickstand with your right foot as you continue to move backwards. Like a 1 and a 2a and a 3..... and lifto the beast. It goes right up on over. But, you better be sure you have that steering bar straight. Or, you could be minced meat. I have used this techique with a full tank, a tank bag, a duffel bag on the back seat, and a Givi case full, with golf clubs strapped on too.

Mirrors are available from big K. These are not genuine although K will dispute that. If you make this purchase be sure to check if the mirrors are able to be
adjusted prior to making payment cos K will not want to know about it.
Michael and yes, I have had the unfortunate experience 3 times. |

What adjust problem is with the new mirrors
If I can't tighten my left one may need to buy, or sit on bike and superglue
And why do you have to keep buying mirrors

Chasnee,..mirrors break when the GTR looses balance, and lies down.
The fix to droopy mirrors is slit the boot on the underside insert 10mm ring spanner to nip up nut.
anotha_A1...I do have a lift handle if you need one. ( I need to check) but I don't use mine, as I use the pillion passengers grab handle to lift my A1 up.

Charles, I disassembled the mirrors completely from the glass in.
The reference I made to K new mirrors was that they are crappy and need to be stripped and reassembled. Michael |

I'm also looking for a right side mirror for A5. However, I did not break the glass but only the metal bracket. So if anyone had the bracket intact, even
with broken glass, that would be all I need (plus the rubber boot perhaps).
