An online US mate I met up with a few months back, he is on the right here at Byron Bay is currently using Spot Tracker up in Alaska

In the original Spot thread under accessories you referenced an ADVrider thread wherein there was much discussion that Spot would not work in Alaska. Based on this link, looks like it does! michaelp |

I am not a great reader but read with delight Mitchiners Alaska some years ago.
Alaska was the only other Continent I wished to visit but will not. This US mate of yours is one of a very few that would have ridden to Prudo Bay. I am jealous. If you get this opportunity on the BIG RIDE next year David YOU WILL be good enough to make that jouney and retreive the max points. Michael |

Michael, the Prudhoe Bay ride is a popular one for long distance riders. I know of many who have done that. Its also an IBA ride UCC Ultimate Coast to Coast.
