As with the last, Kristy and Wil are going to post updates of my return 50CC which is 50hrs coast to coast with this time Fremantle to Sydney. 4000k

Good luck and safe riding Davo.
There has been some heavy rain around Sydney over the last week. I had a good sleep, up at 5am and will hang about at Glenn and Diannes today, try and get a nap from noon to 7pm if I can.
Bike is ready, oil and filter changed, everything checked. I feel reasonably good, right hand is still not 100% but it will be ok, just a dull soreness. I ride single handed most of the time and the long hawl over here using that one hand maybe 70% of the way was hard on it. Throttle lock more and left hand will get me home safe. Weather is looking ok, temps are not real high. I have a 2000k leg first with a 4-5hr stop over at Ceduna, this is the only stop apart from fuel stops @ 10mins each. There is no rush getting back, 50hrs is heaps to do 4000k (approx 2400m) One last thing for the people who maybe watching and don't know much about Australia. When I get to Sydney I am still 1200k from home, the timed IBA rides will be over for this trip but I still have a ways to go to get home. I have done a 400k ride and a 300k ride whilst here, so 4400 here plus 700k is 5100 so far in a week. 4000k to Sydney and 1200 home plus some running about over Wollongong way should have me about 10,-11,000k in the two weeks. 8400 of that in less than 100hrs. On another board someone asked how long I stayed on the bike at a time, till it needed fuel. No point getting off before that now is there Tim  talk to y'all when I get to the other side.... of Australia that is (not planning to pay the ferry man just yet) Davo

I know how you're feeling right now & I wish I was riding beside you. One can't adequately describe it, you can only know it by experience. And so we begin again........
Davo has just rung to say he has left and is heading home ( the looong way round!). Zadok is leading him out of Freemantle after being seen off by Dianne & Rob A. Clocks on the servos terminal were slightly out, so short delay getting times on start docket rectified and initialled, but Davo said the servo guys were extremely helpful. He sounds good and is rested and positive. Although very few times over the past 27 years hve I seen him anything but positive!! Dianne & Glenn, to you I say a big thank you for putting up with him.... oops I mean putting him up Way past my bedtime now. Only a few hours till the next phone call and I need all the beauty sleep I can get|. Till tomorrow Mrs DavoI. Davo

just to let you all know that davo left freo safe and sound. i only hope that he had a better run with the traffic lights as he left freo. i caught every set of lights red
 so im hoping that davo and marty got them green . davo looked really rested and relaxed before he left.i told the servo guys that i would let them know how davo got on and wot time he did the trip in and they seemed really interested in his results.mrs davo and family i can asure you that it was our pleasure to have davo stay with us for his time here. all the best dianne |

Morning everybody. Okay,latest update. After leaving Freo, he arrived at Southern Cross at 2.50am aest. No dramas. So this time he will do the trip WITH a speedo.
Arrived at Norseman at 5.55am aest, had a 20 min break as he is way ahead of time (754 klms in 7 hrs ). Has seen a few wallabies on side of the road, but none to give him any trouble. Lots of road trains. Headed off at 6.18am aest and is now travelling along the bottom of Australia. Unfortunately he has no phone service on this section of the trip, so he will be out of contct for about 6 hours. I'll be back when he is in touch again Mrs Davo. Davo

spoke 2 dave at 6.a.m,all's o.k just left Norseman,7hrs on bike,out of range till Ceduna.sounds cheerful and eager. Was ridin into sunrise, no big boomers yet,lets hope it stays that way,I told him after 99-100 to change hands to avoid soreness.........GO HARD big brother!!!!! cheers all.(photo looks great)

Hi guys.. just had a call from Davo he is travelling ok but is really feeling the heat. He is just outside of Border Village and it is 42 degrees... ahh hot hot hot
 He wont be having much of a stop though cause he has to keep on the move. The next couple of hours are just sheer determination due to the heat and not many stops. Thats all for now... Kristy |

I have just spoken to Davo. He had a little less than an hour stop at Border Village. He is on his way again and the temp has reached 44 degrees C.He is feeling the heat a bit more than I would like. I will call him again in an hour as I am a little concerned that he is not quite himself
 He knows all the signs and has done heaps of research etc. but it is not always easy to apply to oneself. Nonetheless he is usually pretty sensible and has sworn to do the right thing. And of course it is my job to be a worry-wart. Will be back when I have spoken to him. Mrs Davo Davo

Have just spoken to Davo again. He is doing much better, drinking lots and temp has dropped to 31degrees now that he is on the move. Mostly over the worst part now and looking forward to a rest stop at Ceduna

Back again. Davo has made it to Yalata. Very harrowing across the Nullabor with temps between 48-49. Unless I'm wrong thats about 120F. He is staying PUT until weather becomes more friendly. Thank goodness as he was beginning to feel a little dizzy and he sounded it. I think he was looking for a tree to live under! Then on to Ceduna.
