Heidi, I didn't realise u weren't sticking to highway1. I've done all that dirt section, albeit a few years ago. Keep in mind that this section will blow ur daily klm quota to bits. The dirt/dust will also tire u out much more quickly and the corrugations will test ur equipment to the max'. Find a happy speed on the corrugations and get on the gas in the heavy bulldust to get the weight off the front end.
Busiimage, I'll stick to 'Busa's. Only the '99 to early '00 models had "weak" subframes, they were made from aluminium that used to "work harden" and eventually crack/break. They were replaced by steel ones that seem to handle it fine.
