Cougar the camper is a Kamparoo cub. Weighs in loaded at around 230kgs. Mark is at least 6ft tall and has done trips, I gather, of around 15k ks (or is that 15megametres)
I got a small bit of perspex from the local glass supplier 3mm thick and followed the curve from the top of windscreen for the pattern. I used a heat gun to put a bend in it to match the screen and take the stress out of the perspex. It started out about 125mm high but is now 80mm as I found it impossible to see through it at night in rain. The perfect screen height seems to be around 20mm lower than your eye level when you are comfortably seated. It is held on with three 3mm stainless screws with a flat washer either side and a spring washer under the nut.It is a work in progress and my next trial is to put about 10mm spacers under the three bolt points to see if there is any difference in the airflow and turbulence. Aftre (french for after) that I would like to try and sort out a hinge to vary the angle of the thing. I will try to send u a foto. The ride day was great and amazing to find how much a group of strangers has in common apart from the obvious. The wind was the fiercest most of us had ridden in. The straight piece of road from Byford to Pinjarra appeared to have some major twists and bends in it judging from the lean angle Glenn was having to handle just in front of me.
