This is a link tfrom QMRF, a QLD forum, about luggage safety, When I opened it up I was shocked to see a WA GTR worse for wear. Then noticed the GTRAUS sticker
on the bike.

Here's the text from the post on QMRF. (and no, it was not me who posted it.)
Anyway, lesson at hand. One of the guys on another forum I visit tells his story "about 100k from home when the cord I'd tied the gear on the rack with came loose or broke at 110kpm. The gear slipped over the back, got picked up by the tyre and wrapped round the front of the swingarm, causing the wheel to lock up. I fish-tailed down the road for about 50m before falling on the left side, sliding on my back for a bit and doing a few tumbles. I consider myself lucky to have escaped with just a broken left leg (tib & fib) and some minor grazes"

Good to see you survived that one Feddy, I like the tread you have on your tyres what are they, I have Conti Road Attacks on my BM they are magic on wet and
dry tar, but almost unrideable on wet dirt and you don't realise how much wet dirt you do until you get something that won't cope with it.
