After fiddling around with spacers and stuff to raise the bars I have bit the bullet and bought the following.
New plain style bars.
A pair of alloy bar risers held down with 2 bolts each.
I'm getting an aluminium plate made to mount the risers to.
This plate will bolt via some spacers (to keep it above the plastic bit that reminds me what I'm riding) to the 2 inner bolt holes for the original bars.
Looks like it's going to work.
Just have to wait for $400 worth of hoses, this includes the front lower brake hoses in braided.
Will post some pics when I get a round to it.
