I've just bought one of those full HD TV thingies. It cost a moderate ammount of money, the most in fact I've ever spent on home entertainment, by a fair margin. This was easy to acheive as all my previous TVs bar one have been rescued from the dump, hand me downs from friends or bought at auction. In fact at one stage with a retired electrician we got a few old tvs running for people who couldn't afford one. He was retired and bored, I wanted to help and the bit of Whyalla we lived in was pretty poor as Australia goes. After being mates with the old fella I was determined to never pay full fare for a tv. However, SWMBO wants HD and the new flat I've moved into is unfurnished.
So I'm unpacking said flash tv, assemble to find............... no coax cable! you're kidding me??!! all that money and they can't be bothered throwing in a few bucks worth of cable? I'm surprised they threw in batteries for the remote.
So no new tv tonight. The Tiger is in Parramatta being serviced and the nearest purveyer of cables is in the city and likely closed. Nothing for it but to have a rant.
