I'm planning a dusk to dawn overnighter from Newcastle Friday night 19th September (one week after the FarRide #8).
Usual favourites: Bucketts Way, Thunderbolts, The Ox, Waterfall Way etc. Aiming for 1000km in the 12 hours. Anyone interested in joining in? |

Not for me but have a great one, ridden the Oxley at night a few times and its a different experience.

Sunday I took off toward Coffs Harbour from Newcastle after lunch and turned east onto The Ox at Walcha at 500pm. Twilight across the top and pitch black
before Gingers.
Monday headed back from Coffs after lunch, back up The Ox and turned south onto Thunderbolts at Walcha at 500pm. Twilight across the top and pitch black before Pioneers Lookout. With a Coffs - Coramba - Grafton - Nymboida - Tyringham - Dorrigo Mountain detour on Monday morning it was a very pleasant ride. 31 hours, 1450km, 650 in the dark, 8 hours sleep, 3 home cooked hot meals and visited 6 separate family members on the way. Love the road |

Ok....I've rode the Ox...but I don't make a glutten of it. Baassstttrard! Envious! (Hope that gets past the internet police.)
I/m sure I'd enjoy the ride with you one day.
