I plan to complete a run down to Hervey Bay completely in daylight, but would like to avoid the coastal route. I will be heading down to the Imbil Rally in November so the plans may still change, but one thing that I will avoid are those kamikaze macropods at dusk! I once did a 30 odd km run from the Undarra Lava Tubes to Mt Surprise at dusk and the buggers were literally lining up by the side of the road.

I've riden to Clermont before, and will be hitting this stretch before lunchtime. It is the next stretch after Clermont that I am interested in. Is it a real goat track?
