The time has finally arrived - all dressed up and ready to go. Have a safe ride all and see you in about 7 hours. I'm doing a small detour through Margaret River (no wine tasting though) to make for a shorter ride back home.

It is now 04:30.

I'm further inland so am planning on doing it via zig-zagging my way down the middle, then the Porongorups and Stirling Ranges. I was through Experance/Lake King area a couple of weeks ago and the wildflowers were putting on such a great show there - the Ranges should be even better.

There's quite a list formed, so I reckon bikes will catch up to one another, if not before then either along the Manjimup/Walpole/Denmark leg, or if the other way, around Mount Barker/Denmark....

They don't have to be solo rides just to clear that up. Some ride with buddies. It just seems that most distance riders drawn to these rides usually ride alone. But there is no reason that you must.

Hi all,

I know these FarRides are solo rides but is there anyone doing it looking for a riding partner? I will be leaving from Cockburn (BP Garage in Beeliar Drive) at 05h00 on the morning and do around 640km to the destination with a shorter ride back home to make up the 1000+ km's.

If I don't hear from anybody I will probably see some of you on the road.

I had hoped to have a KLR650 by now as well but thats unknown now.

Well, as you know Davo, I'm keen to do a FarRide on the DR but don't want to tackle the dirt alone. I'm hoping for the next FarRide Wizzo will have another one.

I have been thinking for some time that if I can get hold of different bikes, lower power and odd ones that I will do some FarRides on them. Just to spice it up a little.

Now there's a thought!! Might have to try and find the owner again, though. Actually, believe it or not, according to its rightful owner that thing can sit on the speed limit all day!
