Update:-
After a bit of suffing around the new front sensor have been replaced under warranty. It's all good now.

I have this Image I down loaded it from the US sight, have been trying to find the topic still looking however BatteryWorld etc have miniture spot welders for welding batteries together, see the 2 spot weld marks on the tab, like in drill battery packs, the battery is similer to the fog battery 2025 (20mm dia 2.5mm thick) there might be even enough room to us a 2030 this used in Computers to...

Rob, it was only my front giving the message but they said that if the front was low then the rear would soon follow, they did both.

Davo read my earlier item on this issue - he has replaced a battery already on another bike.

The rear sensor on mine did not work when I purchased the bike. It didn't have any flashing warning. Just would not come on. Reading for the rear just stayed on - - . They replaced the sensor under warranty. No problems since, so far. Fingers crossed.

My front tyre warning comes on when if it's cold. Bike has 8000ks. I'll ask for a warranty replacement when I get new tyres soon.

Ken I will go as far as to say its just plain stupid. Right at the time you really need to know the fuel range you get that removed and the LOW FUEL flashing warning.............. like we don't know.

Probably my only real gripe with the bike is that "Low Fuel Warning" it does not help in the least.

It stays on screen until you do the press buttons thing to return to normal screen but the red light comes on. I found if I ride for 10 min then restart the bike the warning won't come back on - until the next morning.

when that low battery warning comes up, does it stay on the screen and block any other info or does it intermittently flash up?

My front tyre battery went on way home from Albury.

Now have new tyres being fitted this Thursday and he will try replacing battery then.

Did not think about warranty but will now see how his fix goes and let you know. Usually batterys are not covered.

Thanks guys. I showed my local dealer today when I took it in for rear brake recall but as I didn't buy it there he (new service/parts manager) didn't inspire me with confidence. I'll hafta check with him next week I suppose.

My rear one failed on a short ride today. Looks like I will have to get it replaced at the sametime I take the bike in for the rack replacement.

It's a worry! The parts diagram shows an optional one. It looks a bit like a normal valve - may be the way to go later?

the battery is not replaceable and the new sensor has to be programed into the bikes computer.i hope that it lasts longer...
