Found this on the American Concors website. www.stopngo.com. Click on the motorcycle section and watch the video. Not sure if anyone else has seen it, but it looks like the easiest way to get out of trouble when you have a punture that I've seen. $31.94 yank dollars sound pretty good too.

New Communication System - "BikerCom"

Just ordered the new "Bikercom" communications system from the factory. Has anyone seen it or got it?

The thing that sets the system aside from other systems is that the headsets are NOT connected via bluetooth. The Helmet Headsets connect to the Control Box using a proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless...

Dropped in to the local Yamaha dealer in SA, Pitman Motor cycles on Main North Road, and saw a Shad top box. It was only a small one though (single helmet size). Apparantly they have a supplier/importer in Aus somewhere. I mention this because they are on Murph's website http://www.murphskits.com.../index.php?cPath=130_134 but he doesn't ship Shad out of the US.

Driving lights from the mirror mount

I am after the brain trust thoughts on fitting new lights under the mirrors on the mounts that Glenn makes. I have Hella FF50's under there now but am looking at new lights that weigh 0.67 kilo (1.4lb)

What does every one think ? Too heavy or ok.

The Perfect GTR Bike Cover

There was a thread some time ago in relation to bike covers fitting the GTR1000. I did mention one. Anyway. Mr T bought a new one yesterday which is the perfect size for the GTR1000 and also fits easily over the 1400 (Armybguide used another of Mr T's while here on the weekend.) It was purchased from Supercheap Auto at around $40 and lasts about a year in all weather...

i would like to fit a better bike comms system to my bike. Specifically one that allows rider to pillion comms, and UHF comms as well.

My budget is not great so.....

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Camping trips what gear do u take?

Im heading away this weekend (if the damn rain clears, for a couple of nights camping. I usually dont camp on the bike except for the odd overnight snooze at a rest area. For that i have a biker sized single swag. I will be taking this and a small dome tent. What do you guys take in terms of other camping gear? (stuff that will fit on the bike that is, i dont have a trailer for my GTR hehe). Was thinking of one of those little butane stoves too?

Brake pads

I'm up for new brake pads on the front of my 03'GTR 1000. I believe the genuine Kawasaki ones are quite a bit more expensive than the other brands. I did put a set of cheaper ones on my old 93'GTR a while back and they always squeaked.

Also I have just replaced the back brakes on my 03 model and they were right down to the steel plate. They have done 60,000. I thought they should have lasted more than that, as I'm not hard on them. Is 60,000k's about what I...

I'm thinking of replacing the screen on my 2003 model GTR with a Cee Baileys. On their website they have them with or without a vent in the middle of the screen. Are there any advatages/dis-advantages of the vent?

Hide Spot Test

So I am thinking where can I put Spot so its not in plain sight yet easy enough to get to.

I use it in tracking mode and it will be on for the whole time I am in the US in August/September.
So I read that some riders have them in the top box, glove box, and so on. I have always had mine in the clear top part of my tank bag.

Will it work INSIDE the 1400GTR glove box under my magnetic tankbag....

Any lady riders or pillion lady riders wearing "Hornee Jeans?" If so are they any good? I've got a pair of "Draggin Jeans" which are good and okay, but are high waisted and straight legged. Not my cup of tea really, but only wear them for riding anyway. Too much like the 80's...I have heard and read that Draggin Jeans have softer type jeans for women...
