I purchased a low mileage 2003 model in Brisbane and then rode it home to Broome (arriving lunchtime today, a distance of 4,800km) with absolutely no issues except weraing out a rear tyre.

In order to use the sixth unused idiot light, strip the bike down, strip the dash down completely, then just pop out the black plastic square.
Reassemble and then you can put in a globe or LED indicator or whatever kind of idiot light you want.

It does reduce the heat trapped behind the fairing, but when I'm tootling along most of the hot air coming through the radiator comes out the right side onto my right shin.

A bit sort of GPz900 ish.....

I've started welding up a basic trailer frame and drawbar, and intend bolting a Thule "Ocean 80" car roof luggage box on top. I think their shape is great, very aerodynamic, and will look pretty damn good.

Where can i get one of those small low profile trailer hitches you see on other motorcycle trailers? The dealer quoted $1700 to get the rockers and cams resurfaced and ground. This sounds a tad expensive to me. Does anyone know of any reputable cam grinders in brisbane who could do the job for me?

On the upside, it doesnt really seem to be effecting the bike's running at the moment, so maybe its a better idea to just not worry about it for the moment?
