Spotted Black 93 in Emu Plains ridden by a man in a suit all class I say passed me when I went to see a client.

Spotted in Canberra this afternoon was a Black GTR1000. One like yours "Paddington." Two up heading North on Baldwin Drive late this afternoon. Around 4.40pm. Left onto Chuculba in Giralang. They were following us... Well...Sort of?? The paintwork was a bit faded as it looked more grey. Only the red stripes gave it away... Who was it??

Green 1000GTR in Echuca

Green '97 joined Marls, a friend (Ian) and I, on B75 to Echuca Sunday arvo. I was on the blue ZZR600...but passed Marls and myself, but followed Ian, (a little too closely I might add) for around 15km, before turning right at the highway roundabout in Echuca. Wondered who it might be?

Advice on intercom system and music player.

OK everyone I am interested to know what type of intercom system you use, and the pros and cons of it. I am interested in getting some thing maybe bluetooth I hear there is one that has a 150m range.
Or maybe something to work with my two Uniden uh049sx 40ch hand units.

I FINALLY GOT A HOLD OF A SIDECAR FOR THE GTR, UNFORTUNATELY I HAD TO BUY THE BIKE AS WELL A 1986 GTR WITH 301,000 KLMS ON THE CLOCK BUT IT STILL RUNS SMOOTHLY. I HAVE STARTED THE TRANSITION FROM ONE TO THE OTHER , A LITTLE MODS HERE AND THERE, MY PROBLEM IS DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANGLE OF THE DANGLE OF TOE IN TOE OUT SO IF YOUR OUT THERE SIDECAR DON OR ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS A SIDECAR I WOULD BE GREATFUL FOR YOUR INPUT I HAVE BEEN IN THE WILDERNESS FOR LONG ENOUGH HAVING A CHILD DOES THAT WELL...

On the luxury of my hotel balcony on Monday evening in North Ryde (Sydney) I was talking to Mr Tosh on the phone and watching the peak hour traffic on Epping Rd. Two or three bikes rode past and I swear the third one was a silver GTR1000! The time was around 5.30pmish. I may have been wrong, but got very excited to spot one! I wonder who?

I have looked at NEP NEC and Vista and just wondering which one is more suitable for my GTR 1000 1994. The NEP and NEC seem simpler. My standard grips, are they one inch or 7/8" and where would I purchase the best one either here in Australia or overseas

I know there is a rack available for the 1400 but has anybody seen one for the 1000 or have one on their bike. These pictures are from the Concours site.

They are still available from Kawasaki USA/outlets and are not real cheap. However they do bolt to the frame rather than...

Sorry to be so effusive 'cos I'm the new chum who's in love with his GTR1000 :)
Previous machinery has been R100RT and R1150RT, but the Kwaka' certainly does it for me!

I purchased a low mileage 2003 model in Brisbane and then rode it home to Broome (arriving lunchtime today, a distance of 4,800km) with absolutely no issues except weraing out a rear tyre.

Here is a little mod for those with way too much spare time.......

In order to use the sixth unused idiot light, strip the bike down, strip the dash down completely, then just pop out the black plastic square.
Reassemble and then you can put in a globe or LED indicator or whatever kind of idiot light you want.

(Not applicable to USA bikes, they have the reserve lighting...

As we all know the bike can be a bit warm in summer. Had this bodgied up belly pan and thought it might help cool things off .
I reckon its pretty ugly but I guess I can't see it when I'm on the bike. It does reduce the heat trapped behind the fairing, but when I'm tootling along most of the hot air coming through the radiator comes out the right side onto my right shin.

A bit sort of GPz900 ish.....

Ok, GTR1000 purchased and will set off from Brisbane to Broome on 27th October.
Roscoe advised of a good spot in Barcaldine (Shakespears). But, any recommendations for cheap accomodation in Roma, Mt Isa, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Halls Creek?

I am currently negotiating to purchase a 2003 GTR1000 from a Brisbane dealer - whilst it is sight unseen in the photos it appears in excellent condition with low mileage and a good price, plus the added benefit of a proper cruise-control :)

Im building a trailer

Ok i cant remember who put this idea into my noggin, someone on here it was!

I've started welding up a basic trailer frame and drawbar, and intend bolting a Thule "Ocean 80" car roof luggage box on top. I think their shape is great, very aerodynamic, and will look pretty damn good.

Where can i get one of those small low profile trailer hitches you see on other motorcycle trailers? I dont want to use a standard cast iron trailer hitch, too heave and...

driving lights

Could someone please tell me the best place to mount driving lights on the Gtr1000/2001.
I don't want to do too much damage to the fairing.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

radiator hose

hi all looking for a replacement top radiator hose for a grt 1000 87 model . Just rang kawasaki and they said it would take 3 to 4 weeks to get one in . any ideas thanks tiptoe

Today I took some time off work and got the necessary paperwork done to get the wheeliebin green machine registered.
IA-412. Still a little work to do before it goes on it's next ride though.

Noted today I've already done 3000km on it. Ummm that was before the other rego ran out.
