Took the new 1700 Voyager for a test ride yesterday.Rather nice I must say, even though I'm not into cruisers, but I could get to like that particular one. Just one fault, the screen to way tooo high - you have to look through it and with the sun high you get a LOT of reflection from the chrome mirrors and bars on the inside of the screen making it difficult to see clearly thru it. But yeah, it could be my next bike.

Hi all and sundry (who the hell is sundry? hehe)

I was looking at some pics of a bike rally in the US, and it really struck me just how many people cruise around on Harley's, Sportsbikes, Tourers etc without helmets...

Obviously the "freedom" element comes into it, and their laws are different from ours...but hypothetically speaking would anyone ever contemplate riding on the street without a helmet if the laws said that you could do so?

I for one...

Ventura Headlight Protectors falling off. What to do?

I got a set of Ventura Headlight Protectors for my Triumph Tiger when I got it late last year. But the silly people at Ventura supply white velcro spots to hold the protectors on. But the head lights on the Tiger are very dark looking. I put the protectors on with the white spots & it looked terrible, the white spots stuck out like dogs balls. So I took them off & went out to look for some black velcro spots. (the white spots were pretty thick & very sticky & were good quality...

I decided to do a major service over the Christmass break on my recently purchased BMW R1150 RT so I would know where the bike was up to and to strip all the flairing of and have a realy good look over every thing so I neaded filters and new alternator drive belt and a few other bits and pices so I rang Brisans in Newcastle a couple of days before Christmass and was a bit shocked at how cheap every thing was as everyone had rattled on about how expensive BMW spares where, so I gave the credit...

I have just move from Canberra to Bomaderry NSW and am in the process of renewing my rego on my 03 GTR. When I rang around getting quotes for the CTPI componenet of the rego the AAMI rep told me to check around as there may be significant differences between companys. She wasn't wrong....

There is an article in our local rag today about one Gary Orr who last month achieved 3592km across the USA on a BMW K 1200 LT without stopping his wheels rolling.
