Geting to Elliston you have a choice of 2 routes. One is via Port Augusta in the North, the other is by ferry, from Wallaroo to Lucky Point (Cowell). Check Sea SA for more infomation.
Marls and I used this on our way home from Busselton. Happy to answer any questions.

Just a heads up to say Lee and I are home, safe and sound.

As always the weekend goes way too fast! Fantastic turnout for the meet, was great to catch up with old faces and meet new ones. Well done to the speakers at Saturday night's dinner, the toast to Davo will be a treasured memory and dare say, will become a tradition.

Pending accommodation confirmation, the 7th annual GTR-AUS meet will be at Elliston SA 22nd to 24th October 2010 (this will allow the revheads amongst us to attend the MotoGP the weekend before)

FarRider memorial stickers - needed at the meet?

Tiger Bill (who is responsible for the FarRider stickers over on the FarRiders site) has a whole bunch of Davo memorial stickers produced for the memorial service.
There are also patches being produced.
The cost is $10 for 2 stickers, $10 for a patch.
These are for FarRiders only.

Are there FarRiders going to the meet who would like me to bring some along?

Had hoped I was going to make Noosa but the last minute plans didn't allow for the rapidly growing grass (we are finally getting some sunny weather in WA) and all the jobs that one must do at this time of the year on the 100 acre backyard. if you have booked a townhouse and are sharing the 2nd unit with somebody else and find that the second
person is going to arrive at noosa earlier than the original person that made the booking, just give the australis a call
and make them aware of the situation, they will makes notes on your booking form to let the second person in on the day
whilst talking to them they did make me aware that ckeck in was at 2pm. i thought this may save some having to wait to get into the...

For all those that had planned to be at the GTR-AUS meet in Noosa, hopefully the recent tragic events will not deter you from coming. We need to stick together in honour of the man that inspired us.

Port Macquarie Caravan Park

Just been doing some google "touring" and revisiting our trip across the Nullabor last year. Specifically our little adventure on day 3 of our trip upon leaving Port Augusta. Just been for a little ride around Canberra on the ole' A1. She's still got it! Have told Mr T that we need to get more rides in before the meet and get the A1 up to speed; although only a little run up to Queensland this time.

Anyone in the Brisbane area know where I could safely store my 1400GTR in the week straight after the GTR-AUS meeting in Noosa?
Will be staying in Brisbane doing a bit of sight seeing for the week 19th-23rd Oct and don't really want the "ol girl" parked outside a motel.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
